SolarTrack multi-terminal mode
For busier salons, SolarTrack is now multi-terminal compatible. This means that you can have several computers on a network in your salon, all running SolarTrack and communicating with each other.
For instance, you could have two computers in the reception area, and a computer in each of the treatment rooms for your therapists to use as they are working with customers. Each terminal can book appointments,
check the availability of products, see the status of a tanning unit, start or stop a tanning unit, etc.
Multi-terminal connection diagram
Key:
- The SolarTrack network: several PC's connected to a local area network, all running the SolarTrack software. One PC is designated as the master machine. The master is responsible for
communicating with the device manager (2). All others machines on the network are designated as slaves.
- Device manager (such as the T-MAX Manager pictured). The device controller usually connects to the PC via a RS-232 serial cable.
- Device timer, located in the room or cubicle with the tanning equipment. The timer is usually connected to the device manager in daisy-chain fashion. The timer is
also hard-wired into the tanning equipment.
- More units can be connected on the daisy-chain, typically up to 64 (or 128) units, depending on the device controller brand you are using.
- At the end of the daisy chain, there is a terminator after the last timer.
